Who knew Batman’s refusal to kill would spawn so many interesting adversaries? With nowhere to go but back to jail, the throng of baddies just keeps on expanding. With that said, Arkham Knight could conceivably include the biggest rogues gallery yet. As the main villain, Scarecrow will terrorize Gothamites while unifying the criminal elite. You might recognize some of these nasty evildoers, specifically Penguin, Two-Face, and Riddler, who all modified their appearances. Oswald Cobblepot, a big-time gangster with a low-life reputation, ditches his gentleman-attire in exchange of a filthy look. Harvey Dent, an ally turned enemy, has relatively few alterations, though his burnt flesh is improved a bit to make him look even more badass. Finally, it’s Edward Nigma who appears to have changed the most. Due to his increased participation in the game, going from a background player to a more fully-realized character, the criminal clue-master will simply become more haggard as the adventure wears on. It’s a level of deterioration fans are accustomed to seeing, though Arkham Knight will also expand this detail to cover not only Batman but also his villains. With a name like Rocksteady, it is always highly unlikely to see any major changes to these core characters. Fortunately, most of the designs are already strong, though we’d have to wait to see what the team does with Scarecrow to give him that leading antagonist look.
